Additional info: The Ashuwillticook Rail Trail is a former railroad corridor converted into a 10-foot wide paved, universally accessible, passive recreation path. The Ashuwillticook runs parallel to Route 8 through the towns of Cheshire, Lanesboro and Adams. The southern end of the rail trail begins at the entrance to the Berkshire Mall off MA Rte. 8 in Lanesboro and travels 11.2 miles north to the center of Adams. Parking lots and restrooms are available at selected locations along the way.

RIDE WORKS  BRTA is offering a new program to get people to work. This transportation service is for anyone who cannot access public transportation due to location of home and/or work or work hours that public transportation is not offered


 

Ride Works is a pilot program and is for anyone who works or lives in Pittsfield and/or abutting towns. This is pre-paid service and requires 24 hour notice for pick up during the week. Weekend and holiday trips must be called in by the previous Friday. Transportation can be scheduled Monday through Friday, excluding holiday, 8:00am to 2:00pm. This is a shared ride service and does accommodate for child care stops as part of work related trips.
